Green Bay Rookie Artmore Charged
CAMERON, Texas (AP) _ Green Bay rookie defensive back Rodney Artmore was free on $10,000 bond Friday, one day after he was arrested on marijuana possession charges.
Officers with the Texas Department of Public Safety pulled over Artmore and two other men for speeding late Thursday, DPS spokeswoman Tela Mange said.
During the stop, Mange said one of the troopers found a 7 1/2-ounce bag of marijuana on the roadside. Artmore, a former Baylor University player, and Patrick Boxley of Hearne and Timothy Tindle of Bryan were charged with possession of marijuana.
``They saw that he was speeding and pulled him over. I guess they saw something going out the window,″ Mange said.
Police also confiscated $1,336 they found on the men, Mange said. Officials said it was uncertain who was driving.
The three were taken to the Milam County Jail on Thursday night and released Friday after posting bond, Milam County Sheriff Charlie West said. Cameron is about 60 miles northeast of Austin.
West said the men, if convicted on the felony charge, face between 180 days and two years and a $10,000 fine.
Artmore, 26, had seven tackles in his first season with the Packers.
