Tower of the Americas hosting 2nd annual Wine Fest
The Tower of the Americas will host its second annual Wine Fest, a two-day celebration featuring a four-course wine dinner on its first night and a festival the following day.
The wine dinner will take place 7 p.m. May 17 at the observation deck of the Tower of the Americas, 739 E. César E. Chávez Blvd., and includes wine pairings by A to Z Wineworks and Rex Hill Vineyards.
The festival runs 2-5 p.m. May 18 at the base of the Tower. It will feature 24 wineries, small bites, live music and special giveaways.
Wineries to be represented at the festival include: Domaine Drouhin Oregon, Owen Roe Winery, Dusted Valley Wine, Chehalem Winery, Skyfall Vineyard, Browne Family Vineyards, Canoe Ridge Vineyard, Van Duzer Vineyards, Williamette Valley Vineyards, Amavi Cellars, Cristom Vineyards, Hyland Estates, Westmount Wine, Union Wine Company, Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery, The Hogue Cellars, Rex Hill Vineyards-Winery, A to Z Wineworks, Stoller Family Estate, Columbia Winery, Sharecropper, Amity Cellars, L’Ecole and RoseRock.
Tickets are available for purchase at eventbrite.com. They cost $113 for the four-course dinner and $40 to $50 for the festival. Two-day admission cost $125 and includes both the dinner and general admission to the second day festival.
