Deer causing nuisance in Chukkekr Creek neighborhood

January 22, 2019

A deer had been causing problems in the Ridge at Chukker Creek neighborhood off Chukker Creek Road.

The deer, a young buck, jumped on a resident, puncturing her leg and requiring her to have a tetanus shot, according to a posting on a neighborhood site posted Monday. The deer also chased some residents.

The deer is not easily scared off and was setting off car alarms Monday morning, according an online post.

Residents called the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office. The responding officers stated they believed the deer is someone’s pet, according to an online post.

The site asks residents to “refrain from feeding the deer” and “please be aware and safe.”
