Cincinnati Signs DT Tom Barndt
CINCINNATI (AP) _ Defensive tackle Tom Barndt, formerly of the Kansas City Chiefs, signed a five-year deal with the Cincinnati Bengals on Friday, the second free-agent defensive lineman signed by the Bengals this week.
Terms weren’t disclosed.
Barndt, originally an offensive lineman, played four seasons for the Chiefs, starting 29 of 32 games the past two years. A sixth-round
Barndt, 27, was a sixth-round draft choice from Pitt in 1995. He had 48 tackles, 2.5 sacks and a fumble recovery for Kansas City last season.
On Wednesday, the Bengals signed defensive end Vaughn Booker to a five-year contract. Booker played most recently for Green Bay. He previously was a teammate of Barndt in Kansas City.
