New West Virginia county judge to be sworn in
FAYETTEVILLE, W.Va. (AP) — A new judge will be sworn in Wednesday to the Twelfth Judicial Circuit in Fayette County, West Virginia.
According to the courts, Thomas H. Ewing is a native of Fayette County. He has bachelor’s degrees in education and history from Glenville State College. He earned his law degree in 2004 from West Virginia University, where he was Order of the Coif and an editor of the West Virginia Law Review.
Ewing was an attorney with Kay, Casto and Chaney from 2004 until his appointment to the bench. He was the managing member of its Fayetteville office from 2015 to 2018.
Ewing previously had a federal judicial externship with U.S. District Court Chief Judge Irene Keeley.
The Wednesday ceremony will be brief. A formal investiture takes place on Jan. 28.
