Nude Jogger Becomes Burglary Suspect
SMYRNA, Ga. (AP) _ Midnight jogs in the nude around a high school track apparently were just a warm-up for a man police believe committed pre-dawn burglaries in his birthday suit.
Late-night joggers reported seeing a nude man running at the Campbell High School track about six weeks ago.
A few weeks later, police said, early morning commuters on Village Parkway spotted a man fitting the description of the jogger wearing only his socks and tennis shoes.
Lt. Edwin Clack Jr. said police began to suspect a relationship between the incidents when they received a call about a nude burglar.
The man broke into a house in this Atlanta suburb early Saturday but fled when he confronted by the woman who lived there.
Police believe the same man was involved in all three incidents.
″We’re anxious to get him off the street,″ Clack said.
