4th family member dies from fire injuries, relative charged
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Police say four members of a family have died in a suspected arson fire that tore through a Syracuse home last week.
Twenty-year-old Charles DuBois is charged with arson and murder for the early Thursday morning fire that killed 45-year-old Susan Wagner, 18-year-old Michael DuBois and 1-year-old Hunter DuBois. Syracuse.com reports 18-year-old Korrina DuBois died Sunday from injuries sustained in the fire.
Firefighters were able to pull the family out of the home, but they all later died from their injuries.
Police say they arrested Charles DuBois when he returned to the scene of the fire Thursday, and he is currently being held without bail. Susan Wagner was the suspect’s mother.
