Monaco signs France U21 midfielder Bahlouli on 5-year deal
MONACO (AP) — Monaco has signed France Under-21 attacking midfielder Fares Bahlouli from Lyon on a five-year contract.
The highly rated Bahlouli was courted by other European clubs but opted for the French league side, where he will be teaming with former teammate Anthony Martial.
Martial, who scored nine goals in 35 league matches last season as Monaco secured Champions League football for the second straight year, recently extended his contract with the Principality club until 2019.
Bahlouli said he was “delighted” to be joining “a club that’s building a great project by putting faith in young players.”
