DeKalb man being held on $75K bond after altercation
SYCAMORE – A judge Tuesday set bond at $75,000 for a DeKalb man accused of attacking DeKalb County Sheriff’s deputies at a Kingston campground.
Lucas Wood, 29, of the 700 block of Grove Street, appeared in court via video link from the DeKalb County Jail. Wood is charged with aggravated battery. He could face three to seven years in prison if convicted and would have to post $7,500 cash and be placed on electronic home monitoring to be released.
According to news release from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the Walcamp campground in rural Kingston on a report of a fight in progress. Upon arrival, deputies were confronted by Wood and learned that he had a warrant for his arrest out of Ogle County.
