John Gotti’s Son Pleads Guilty
NEW YORK (AP) _ His mobster father is serving a life sentence and his mobster brother is serving a five-year term. But Peter Gotti’s legal troubles appear to be limited to driving infractions.
Gotti, 26, was arrested Saturday after being stopped by police at a checkpoint in Queens for not wearing a seatbelt, according to Mary De Bourbon, a spokeswoman for the borough’s district attorney’s office.
Officers also determined he was driving with a suspended license, she said.
Gotti was held overnight and arraigned Sunday, when he paid a $50 fine and pleaded guilty to driving without a license, she said.
Gotti is the youngest son of John Gotti, the former head of the Gambino crime family. His older brother, John Gotti Jr., is in prison for racketeering, gambling and extortion.
