Pesic Hospitalized in Serious Condition

BELGRADE, Yugoslavia (AP) _ Branko Pesic, the president of Serbia, was admitted to Belgrade Military Hospital Friday in very serious condition, the state-run news agency reported.

Serbia is the largest of Yugoslavia’s six republics.

Doctors said Pesec, 63, showed signs of ″heart, lung and kidney insufficiency,″ Tanjug reported.

Pesic is a former mayor of Belgrade, the capital of Yugoslavia and Serbia.
