Ludington City Council to approve construction contracts, zoning changes
The Ludington City Council on Monday will vote on approving two construction contracts for projects expected to begin in 2019.
The council will vote on a $20.6 million conditional contract with Davis Construction, Inc. of Grand Rapids to be the general contractor for the city’s Wastewater Treatment Plant improvement project.
The contract would be conditional upon the city securing the funds needed for the project from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Agency and reimbursements from House of Flavors in Ludington, which is a major user of the city’s wastewater system.
Davis Construction was the lowest of the five contractors that bid on the project.
