Fairview Park police searching for man who carjacked woman using box cutter

FAIRVIEW PARK, Ohio -- Fairview Park police are looking for a man who carjacked a woman Thursday afternoon using a box cutter.

A woman was sitting in a gray 2013 Chevrolet Equinox on the 20500 block of Lorain Road, in between West 204th Street and West 208th Street, according to Fairview Park police.

The man approached the woman about 1:10 p.m. and displayed a sharp tool that looked like a box cutter, Lieutenant Dennis Wilson said.

The man pulled the driver out of her car and drove eastbound on Lorain Road, police say. The woman was not injured.

The stolen gray Chevy Equinox has a vanity license plate “KELTIE,” police say.

Investigators believe the suspect recently bonded out of jail and has a warrant out for his arrest, police say.
