LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) _ DeJuan Wheat's 23 points led five players in double figures as Louisville beat Athletes in Action 93-86 in an exhibition game Wednesday night.

Louisville (3-3) built a 77-61 lead with 8:14 left in the game, but AIA (2-14) scored eight straight points to pull to 77-69 at 6:46. Gerald Jarmon scored five of his 13 points during the run.

With 44 seconds to go, AIA trailed 90-86, but could get no closer.

Louisville scored nine straight points during a 1:40 stretch to take a 43-30 lead with 1:19 left in the half. The Cardinals led 43-34 at halftime.

Eric Johnson had 19 points, Samaki Walker scored 17 and Tick Rogers 14. Jason Osborne had 11 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.

Milton Banks scored 13 points for AIA, while Robert Sewell added 12 and Michael Porter and Dave Heidebrecht had 11 each.

Louisville made 31 of 56 shots from the field for 55.4 percent, but was outrebounded 40-34. AIA shot just 46.4 percent on field goals, with 32 of 69.

The game was the final exhibition for AIA this season.
