Character Actor Hal Dawson Dies At 90
LOMA LINDA, Calif. (AP) _ Character actor Hal K. Dawson, who worked on the Broadway stage before turning to films and roles in ″Wells Fargo,″ ″Country Girl″ and ″Airport,″ has died at the age of 90.
Dawson, who died Feb. 24 at Loma Linda Medical Center, also appeared on television in such shows as ″Quincy,″ ″Alfred Hitchcock Presents,″ ″Lassie″ and ″Archie Bunker’s Place.″
He started on Broadway in 1928 in the play ″Machinal,″ which featured Clark Gable, and in 1933 appeared in ″Another Language″ with Helen Hayes and Robert Montgomery.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia, and a daughter. Funeral arrangements were not disclosed.
