Motorist who got tangled up in telephone wire dies
MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire man has died of injuries from a moped accident involving a telephone wire.
Police tell WMUR-TV 49-year-old Heath Lear, of Manchester, died Wednesday night.
Police say Lear suffered a serious head injury Monday when his moped crashed after he became entangled in a telephone wire that had dropped to the road. A witness who helped Lear says the wire was difficult to see.
Manchester Police Lt. Brian O’Keefe isn’t sure how the wire dropped to street level.
Anyone with information is asked to call Manchester police.
