One vehicle accident sends teen to hospital
STANTON - The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one vehicle accident early Sunday morning.
According to Sheriff Mike Unger, a SUV driven by a 14-year-old boy was traveling North at a high rate of speed on 560th Avenue, one mile East of Woodland Park when he lost control of the SUV and it entered the west ditch, through a fence into a field striking several trees.
The teen was taken by Hoskins/Woodland Park Rescue to Faith Regional Health Services.
He was also cited on charges of Driving While Intoxicated, Minor in Possession/Consumption of Alcohol and Misuse of a School Permit.
It was unclear if seatbelts were in use at the time.
