Security video shows people wanted in Cleveland shooting

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Security video released Tuesday shows two unidentified teens considered “persons of interest” in a shooting that happened during an argument over stolen bicycles.

A 34-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were shot Thursday in the city’s North Shore-Collinwood neighborhood when they confronted two teens and accused them of stealing children’s bicycles, according to a police report.

No arrests have been made.

The security video released Tuesday by the Cleveland police department shows two young males riding bicycles.

The man and the woman confronted two teens on Thursday because the woman believed they stole her children’s bicycles at Neff Park, the police report says. Both of the teens were riding bicycles at the time.

One of the teens pulled out a handgun and fired eight shots. Five hit the man in the chest and arms, and one hit the woman in the hip, the report says.

The teens rode away south on East 200th Street. Witnesses said one cut through Neff Park while another rode toward a nearby apartment building, the report says.

The woman drove herself and the man to Euclid Hospital, where a helicopter flew them to MetroHealth for treatment. Investigators have not provided updates on their conditions.
