One person wounded in Darlington County shooting

HARTSVILLE, S.C. -- One person was wounded in a shooting that took place Wednesday morning in the Hartsville area of Darlington County.

The 11 a.m. shooting happened at the intersection of Putnam Street and East Carolina Avenue and followed an argument, according to a release issued by the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office.

“Investigators attempted to talk with the individual, but he is uncooperative,” Lt. Robert Kilgo wrote in a release on the incident.
