Pierceton motorcyclist gets 63 months after firearm plea
A Pierceton man has been sentenced to 63 months in prison in U.S. District Court in Fort Wayne after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Aaron Rhoades, 35, then will be on one year of probation, the U.S. attorney’s office said in a statement.
According to documents in the case, the statement said, in August 2017 Rhoades was in possession of a firearm after having a felony robbery conviction in Kosciusko Circuit Court.
Rhoades was on bond for resisting law enforcement when he engaged in a high-speed chase with police on a motorcycle before crashing, the statement said. Upon his arrest, it said, the firearm was found.
