Redding Police investigating several cases of identity theft

Redding police are looking into several reports of identity theft last week after three residents reported accounts opened in their name.

A resident on Wagon Wheel Road reported on Wednesday that a credit cards were taken out in his name and shipped to a location in Queens, N.Y. without his permission, police said.

On Thursday, a resident on Picketts Ridge Road told police that someone opened a Sprint account in her name.

A Winding Brook Court resident reported on Friday that someone opened up Target and American Express accounts in her name.

All three incidents are under investigation, police said.
