Touch-A-Truck event connects kids to community
HUNTINGTON — Children of all ages came to Huntington High School on Saturday to get a chance to sit in the driver’s seat during a Touch-A-Truck event.
Kids love trucks, and participants were encouraged to touch their favorite vehicles, get behind the wheel and meet the people who help to build, protect and serve the community.
The event provided an opportunity for children to explore vehicles such as a fire truck, an ambulance, buses and military police units, along with several other vehicles.
Proceeds from the three-hour event will help Huntington High School’s band uniform fund, organizers said.
