Gas prices dropping in northern New England

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Gas prices have seen a good drop in northern New England in the last week.

The latest GasBuddy price reports show prices fell 6.2 cents per gallon in New Hampshire, to an average of $2.61. In Maine, the average price was $2.68, down 6 cents per gallon. Prices in Vermont were down 5.6 cents, to $2.70 a gallon.

The national average price of gasoline has fallen 7.1 cents in the last week, averaging $2.73 a gallon. The national average is down 12.9 cents per gallon from a month ago, yet stands 17.8 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
