October 2, 2018

Pittsburgh police are asking for help identifying a man suspected in the armed robbery of a 7-Eleven convenience store in Downtown Pittsburgh on Aug. 29, 2018.

Pittsburgh police are asking for help identifying a man who held up a convenience store last week in Downtown Pittsburgh.

The armed robbery happened just before 7:30 p.m. Aug. 29 at the 7-Eleven near Bigelow Square, according to Public Safety spokesman Chris Togneri.

Togneri said the robber tried to leave the store with $350 worth of cellphone chargers and earbuds. An employee confronted the man, who allegedly pulled a gun from his waistband and pointed it at the employee as he left the store, Togneri said.

Investigators described the man as being in his 30s and about 6-foot-1 with a thin frame.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Pittsburgh robbery detectives at 412-323-7161.
