Portneuf Pioneers host annual Gold and Green Ball
POCATELLO - Meridell Park will be ringing with music on Saturday, Dec. 1 as the Portneuf Pioneers host their 4th annual Gold and Green Ball.
The festivities will begin at 7 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served.
There will be entertainment, Christmas stories, induction of new officers, couples’ photos, and socializing. Chapter members and guests and friends are welcome to attend. The floor show will include an entertaining concert from the Highland Trouveres. Music for dancing will be provided by “The King of Streaming” Steve Riley, and live music will be provided by the “Snake River New Horizons Pop Ensemble” during and following the floor show.
An opportunity to serve will be provide for all on the day of the Gold and Green Ball as December 1, is also the “Light the World” day of Service. We have identified a project for our group to do which is to help some full-time missionaries get Christmas presents who might not otherwise have any. If you can help please bring one or more gifts such as ties, gloves, toiletries, snack food, beef jerky and candy, hot cocoa mix, popcorn, cold cereal, Christmas decorations, vitamins, or any items that might say Idaho on it.
There is no charge for the dance, but contributions of money will be accepted in lieu of, or along with the gifts for the missionaries, and contributions for the singers and the band will also be accepted.
The Meridell reception hall is located at 5740 S. 5th in Pocatello.
