Cab Drivers Wounded in Shooting
GRAPEVINE, Texas (AP) _ Four cab drivers were shot today at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport after a dispute with a fifth cabbie.
One driver, wounded in the back, will be flown to a hospital, airport spokeswoman Angel Biasatti said. She said a second driver was shot in the arm. She had no detail on the injuries to the other two but said they were not believed to be life-threatening.
A suspect was taken into custody.
``He shot four other cab drivers after they got into a dispute,″ Ms. Biasatti said. ``We don’t know yet what the dispute was over.″
The shootings happened shortly before noon at a central taxi queue north of the Hyatt Regency DFW. No passengers were near the scene.
``We are still looking to see if any other drivers might have been involved,″ Ms. Biasatti said, adding it was unclear what companies the cabbies worked for.
