Undated (AP) _ Nervous Baba held off entrymate Family Style by 13/4 lengths on Thursday to win the $90,750 Adirondack Stakes for 2-year-old fillies in stakes-record time.

Nervous Baba, ridden by Jorge Velasquez, covered six furlongs in 1:09 3-5 to clip two-fifths off the time posted by Whisper Fleet in 1978.

Nervous Baba took command shortly after the break and maintained a safe margin throughout. Family Style was 41/2 lengths ahead of Steal A Kiss. I’m Splendid, the favorite in the field of eight, tired late and finished fourth.

In winning for the second time in four starts, Nervous Baba earned $54,450. The entry of Nervous Baba and Family Style paid $7.60, $5.60 and $3.60. Steal a Kiss returned $5 to show.

Another Fantasy toyed with five rivals en route to a seven-length victory in the featured $8,000 eighth race at Rockingham Park.

The half-brother to last season’s sprint sensation, Concorde Bound, covered six furlongs in 1:11 and paid $3.20, $2.40 and $2.20.

Etranger rallied to finish second, 21/4 lengths head of Final Duel. Etranger returned $5.40 and $2.60 and Final Duel paid $3 to show.

Mr. V. Penny ridden by Pimlico Race Course apprentice jockey Martin Ramirez won the $10,000 Madigama Purse. The 3-year-old grandson of Northern Dancer took the lead entering the stretch while racing down the center of the track to complete six furlongs in 1:11 4-5.

Double Image rallied to finish a length back and more than two lengths before Vandy’s Friend.

Mr. V. Penny paid $11.80, $5.80 and $4; Double Image $6.20 and $4; Vandy’s Friend retured $5.60 to show.

Zoffany took a clear lead early and held off challengers to win the $35,000 feature race at Del Mar race track.

Ridden by Chris McCarron, Zoffany finished three lengths in front of Pol and Dic, piloted by Fernando Toro. Bold Run, with Laffit Pincay Jr. aboard, finished third another length back.

Zoffany defeated five rivals and earned $19,250 in the race for 3-year-olds and up. He was clocked in 1:41 1-5 for 1 1-16 miles on the turf.

Sent off the No. 2 choice, Zoffany paid $7, $3.40 and $2.80. Favored Pol and Dic returned $3.20 and $2.60, and Bold Run paid $2.60 to show.
