SALT LAKE CITY (AP) _ Karl Malone and Tyrone Corbin each scored eight points in a fourth-quarter rally, leading the Utah Jazz to a 108-107 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night.
Sacramento led 87-77 after three quarters, but reserves Jay Humphries and David Benoit scored five points apiece as Utah opened the fourth quarter with a 21-7 run to take a 98-94 lead with 6:05 left in the game.
The Kings went on an 8-0 run to briefly regain the lead at 102-98, but Utah went ahead 104-102 with 3:49 to go.
Malone, who led Utah with 30 points, got a pair of baskets inside off passes from John Stockton in the final 1:31 to put Utah ahead 108-104. But Lionel Simmonds hit a 15-foot jumper with 24.6 seconds to go to bring the Kings to within 108-106.
After Malone missed two free throws with 16.8 seconds left, Spud Webb hit 1 of 2 with 10.8 seconds remaining.
