LEBANON, Maine (AP) — State police in Maine say they are investigating the deaths of a man and woman in their home as an apparent murder-suicide.

Police say 30-year-old Allison Parker was shot and killed by her estranged boyfriend, 27-year-old Thomas Doyon, who then killed himself. The shootings took place in a home in Lebanon that Parker and Doyon had shared with Parker’s parents. Police say the deaths were a case of domestic violence.

Police say Parker’s parents were also in the home at the time of the shooting and heard the gunshots from an upstairs bedroom. Police say they fled the home with a friend of Parker’s and notified police.

Autopsies are scheduled for Sunday at the medical examiner’s office. Police say Parker was the mother of a seven-year-old girl, and Doyon was not the father.
