WASHINGTON. (AP) _ Ruben Boumtje Boumtje had 19 points and No. 12 Georgetown scored the game's first 18 points in an 86-68 victory over Morgan State on Wednesday night.

The win improved Georgetown's record to 14-0, the second-best start in team history. It ties the mark set by the 1989-90 team and is second only to the 1984-85 Hoyas, who won their first 18 games and advanced to the NCAA national championship game before losing to Villanova.

Boumtje Boumtje got just two of his points during the 18-0 run at the start but dominated play in the paint throughout. He went 7-for-9 from the field, pulled down a game-high seven rebounds with three blocks and a steal.

Anthony Perry came off the bench to score 15 points, Mike Sweetney added 12 points and Demetrius Hunter had 10. Hunter made a pair of thunderous dunks during the 18-0 run.

Georgetown overwhelmed Morgan State early, holding the Bears (2-10) scoreless for the first 6:11. Anton Jenifer broke the drought with a 3-pointer and finished with a game-high 22 points.

The Hoyas had little trouble against smaller and slower Morgan State. Boumtje Boumtje and the Hoya forwards had free run of the paint and came up with numerous high-percentage shots and dominated the boards.

Georgetown held a 45-32 rebounding advantage, coming up with 19 offensive boards that gave it several follow-up shots. The Hoyas also converted on several of Morgan State's 18 turnovers.
