Caio scores twice as Kashima beats Nagoya 3-2 in J-League
TOKYO (AP) — Brazilian Caio scored two goals, including the winner, as Kashima Antlers beat Nagoya Grampus 3-2 on Saturday to pull within one point of J-League leaders Kawasaki Frontale.
Taishi Taguchi gave the hosts a 1-0 lead in the first minute of the second half but Caio equalized 10 minutes later on a right-footed shot from 14 meters (yards).
Akira Takeuchi gave Nagoya a brief lead before Yuma Suzuki equalized for the visitors with four minutes of regulation time left. Caio sealed the win with his fifth goal of the season in the final minute of stoppage time.
Kawasaki improved to 28 points after being held 0-0 by Albirex Niigata
Also, Naoki Wako scored the winner as Kashiwa Reysol beat struggling Avispa Fukuoka 3-2 while Omiya Ardija beat Sagan Tosu 1-0.
