THORNDIKE, Maine (AP) — A county sheriff's office in Maine says two juveniles have been charged with terrorizing in connection with threatening notes found in a school complex.

Lt. Matthew Curtis of the Waldo County Sheriff's Office says the Mount View school complex in Thorndike was put under lockdown on Sept. 14, and again on Sept. 15.

The sheriff's office said a juvenile female was arrested first, on Sept. 15, not long after the brief lockdown happened that day. The note was found in the middle school.

A juvenile male was arrested Wednesday in connection with the Sept. 14 note found in a bathroom at the high school.

The content of the notes wasn't immediately known.

Both juveniles are being held at a juvenile detention facility.

This story has been corrected to show one note was found in the middle school at the Mount View complex, and the other note was found in the high school, not both in the middle school.
