A reading and discussion was held Sunday for the book “I Am Strength: True Stories of Everyday Superwomen.” The event was held at the temporary Barnes and Noble location in the East End Centre in Wilkes-Barre. The book is a collection of true stories, poems and art created by women from all walks of life, championing everyday struggles and triumphs.

The discussion featured the book’s editor, Alyssa Waugh, along with contributing authors Tara Lynn Marta, Dawn Leas, Marcie Herman Riebe, Trilby Greene, Amber Hyder and Roya Hamadani.

Two thirds of the proceeds from sales of this book will benefit No Means No Worldwide, whose goal is to create a rape-free world, and Girls Inc., inspiring all girls to be strong, smart and bold.
