Florence police arrest man after multiple burglaries

FLORENCE, S.C. – A man who was arrested Friday by Florence police faces multiple charges of burglary and other crimes.

Dorian St. James Sansbury was arrested a day after a vehicle break-in and burglary at Discount Baker at 824 S. Irby St., according to a Florence Police Department news release.

Sansbury faces the charges of burglary in the second degree and breaking into a motor vehicle. He was taken into custody without incident and he was transported to the Florence County Detention Center.

Sansbury also faces charges in separate burglary and shoplifting incidents. He faces the charge of shoplifting less than $2,000 from an incident Wednesday at CVS at 733 S. Irby St., where he allegedly took food and electronics items.

He also faces the charge of burglary in the second degree from a May 6 incident at South Florence High School, where he allegedly took electronics and other items.
