Norfolk Catholic to meet Centennial in Class ‘C-2’ State Championship Football Game
The Lincoln Journal Star top ranked and Omaha World Herald second ranked in Class ‘C-2’ Norfolk Catholic football team is bound for the Class ‘C-2’ State Championship Game.
It will be the 17th State Championship Game they’ve played in. The Knights are 11-1 on the year after routing Sutton last Friday on the road 50-28. Dylan Kautz ran for 230 yards off 30 carries and three touchdowns while also catching a TD pass. Teammate Evan Smith scampered for 156 yards off 16 carries with two touchdown runs and also had a TD reception. Norfolk Catholic, who has beaten David City Aquinas, St. Paul twice, BRLD, Crofton, Hartington Cedar Catholic, Battle Creek, Stanton, Ponca, Archbishop Bergan, and Sutton while falling to Pierce is outscoring their opponents on average through twelve games 47.4-19.8. They return to action on Tuesday, November 20th when they play Centennial in the Class ‘C-2’ State Championship Game at 10:15 AM.
