Lady Falcons, Cy Springs and others tumble in postseason

The Lady Falcons lost to Westside 58-56 in the regional quarterfinals, Feb. 19, at the Merrell Center.

The girls team had beaten FB Dulles 74-41, Feb. 14, in the area round, and Lamar 78-33 in the bi-district round, Feb. 11.

The Lady Falcons close the regular season at 33-3 overall and District 17-6A champs with a 16-0 record under head coach Tamara Collier.

Jersey Village closed the regular season at 20-12 overall and 8-8 in district under head coach Reggie Childress.

In soccer in district play, the boys team tied host Cy Ridge 3-3, Feb. 20, and beat visiting Cy Creek 3-0, Feb. 22. The girls team tied visiting Cy Ridge 2-2, Feb. 20, and lost to host Cy Creek 7-0, Feb. 22.

In softball in district play, the Lady Falcons beat host Northbrook 23-4, Feb. 20, and lost to visiting Memorial 7-4, Feb. 22. The team visits Cy-Fair, Feb. 26, and hosts Cy Falls, March 1.

In baseball, the Falcons open district play by hosting Cy Ridge, Feb. 26, and visit Cy Ridge in district play, March 5.

Cy Creek

The Lady Cougars lost to Summer Creek 65-54, Feb. 22, in the regional semifinals at the Merrell Center.

The girls team had beaten Katy 71-41 in the regional quarterfinals, Feb. 19, Ridge Point 80-62 in the area round, Feb. 15, and Bellaire 64-58 in the bi-district round, Feb. 11.

The Lady Cougars close the season at 34-6 overall 14-2 in District 17-6A under head coach Jennifer Alexander.

Cy Creek (19-15, 12-4) lost to Lamar 66-51 in the bi-district round, Feb. 19, at Delmar Fieldhouse to close the season under head coach Daniel Trocquet

In soccer in district play, the boys team tied visiting Cy Falls 1-1, Feb. 19, and lost to host Jersey Village 3-0, Feb. 22. The girls team lost to host Cy Falls 1-0, Feb. 19, and beat visiting Jersey Village 7-0, Feb. 22.

In softball in district play, the Lady Cougars beat visiting Stratford 12-1 and beat host Spring Woods 10-2, Feb. 22. The team hosts Cy Ridge, Feb. 26, and enters a bye, March 1.

In baseball, the Cougars visit Cy Falls to open district play, Feb. 26, and host Cy Falls in district play, March 5.

Cy Ranch

The Lady Mustangs lost to Hendrickson 56-41 in the regional quarterfinals, Feb. 18, at Giddings High School.

The girls team had beaten Oak Ridge 54-51 in the area round, Feb. 14, and Westwood 52-51 in overtime in the bi-district round, Feb. 11.

The Lady Mustangs close the season at 31-8 overall and as District 14-6A champs with a 15-1 record under head coach Megan Daniel.

Cy Ranch lost to Vangegrift 46-44, Feb. 19, in the bi-district round at A&M Consolidated.

The Mustangs close the season at 23-8 overall and as co-District 14-6A champions with a 14-2 record under head coach Mason Huffmeister.

In soccer in district play, the girls team beat host Langham Creek 1-0, Feb. 19, and beat visiting Bridgeland 2-1, Feb. 22. The boys team beat visiting Langham Creek 3-0, Feb. 19, and beat host Bridgeland 4-1, Feb. 22.

In softball, the Lady Mustangs beat host Bridgeland 3-1, Feb. 19. The team hosts Cy Lakes, Feb. 26, and visit Cy Park, March 1.

In baseball, the Mustangs open district play at Langham Creek, Feb. 26, and host Langham Creek in district play, March 5.

Cy Springs

Cy Springs lost to host Klein Forest 78-56, Feb. 22, in the area round at Tomball High School.

Bonke Maring finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds and Clayton Maywald added 12 points.

The Panthers had beaten McNeil 63-35 in the bi-district round, Feb. 19.

Cy Springs closes the season at 26-10 overall and as Co-District 14-6A champs with a 14-2 record under head coach Larry Boykin.

The Lady Panthers closed the season at 23-11 overall and 12-4 in district under head coach Taneisha Rogers after losing to Vista Ridge in the first round.

In soccer in district play, the boys team beat visiting Bridgeland 4-3, Feb. 19, and beat host Cy Lakes 4-2, Feb. 22 The girls team lost to host Bridgeland 5-0, Feb. 19, and tied visiting Cy Lakes 2-2, Feb. 22.

In softball in district play, the Lady Panthers lost to host Cy Lakes 15-0, Feb. 20, hosts Cy Park, Feb. 26, and enters a bye, March. 1.

In baseball, the Panthers open district play at Bridgeland, Feb. 26, and hosts Bridgeland in district play, March 5.

Langham Creek

Langham Creek lost to Eisenhower 65-58 in the area round, Feb. 22, at Klein Cain High School.

The boys team had beaten Round Rock 64-61 in the bi-district round, Feb. 19, at Hearne.

The Lobos close the season at 25-12 overall and 12-5 in district play under head coach Charles Ament after losing to Cedar Ridge in the first round.

The Lady Lobos closed the season at 28-8 overall and 14-2 in district under head coach Annette Steward.

In soccer in district play, the boys team lost to host Cy Ranch 3-0, Feb. 19, and beat visiting Cy Woods 3-0, Feb. 22. The girls team lost to visiting Cy Ranch 1-0, Feb. 19, and lost to host Cy Woods 9-2, Feb. 22.

In softball, the Lady Lobos lost beat host Cy Woods in district, Feb. 19, visit Bryan, Feb. 26, and host Tomball Memorial, March 1.

Cy Falls

The Lady Golden Eagles closed the regular season at 17-17 overall and 9-7 in district under head coach Ursula Hill after losing to Westside in the first round.

Cy Falls closed the season at 15-18 overall and 8-8 in district play under head coach Richard Flores.

In soccer in district play, the boys team tied host Cy Creek 1-1, Feb. 19, and lost to visiting Northbrook 2-1, Feb. 22.

The girls team beat visiting Cy Creek 1-0, Feb. 19, and tied host Northbrook 1-1, Feb. 22.

The Lady Spartans closed the season at 14-15 overall and 9-7 in district under head coach Drew Cross after a loss to Hendrickson in the first round.

In soccer in district play, the boys team beat host Cy Park 6-0, Feb. 19, and lost to visiting Cy Springs 4-2, Feb. 22. The girls team lost to visiting Cy Park 2-1, Feb. 19, and tied host Cy Springs 2-2, Feb. 22.

In softball, the Lady Spartans beat host Cy Springs 15-0 in district play, Feb. 19, visit Cy Ranch, Feb. 26, and host Cy Woods, March 1.

In baseball, the Spartans open district play at home vs. Cy Park, Feb. 26, and visit Cy Park in district play, March. 5.

Cy-Fair

Cy-Fair lost to Bellaire 65-55 in the bi-district round, Feb. 19, at the Barnett Fieldhouse.

The Bobcats close the season at 22-11 overall and 11-5 in district under head coach Chad Suleimanji.

The Lady Bobcats closed the season at 15-17 overall and 12-4 in district under head coach Ann Roubique after losing to the Heights in the first round.

In soccer in district play, the boys team tied host Northbrook 3-3, Feb. 19, and lost to visiting Memorial 1-0, Feb. 22. The girls team beat visiting Northbrook 5-0, Feb. 19, and lost to host Memorial 1-0, Feb. 22.

In softball in district play, the Lady Bobcats entered a bye, Feb. 19, and beat host Cy Falls 10-3, Feb. 22. The team hosts Jersey Village, Feb. 26, and visits Stratford, March 1.

In baseball, the Bobcats open district at home vs. Northbrook, Feb. 26, and visit Northbrook, March 5.

Cy Ridge

Cy Ridge lost to Sam Houston 67-55 in the bi-district round, Feb. 19, at HISD Pavilion.

The Rams close the season at 17-16 overall and 10-6 in district under head coach Marcus Gabriel.

The Lady Rams closed the regular season at 19-11 overall and 9-7 in district under head coach Arthur Prevost.

In soccer in district play, the boys team tied visiting Jersey Village 3-3, Feb. 20, and beat host Stratford 3-2, Feb. 22. The girls team tied host Jersey Village 2-2, Feb. 20, and lost to visiting Stratford, Feb. 22.

In softball, the Lady Rams beat lost to visiting Spring Woods 9-7 in extra innings, Feb. 19, and entered a bye, Feb. 22. The team visits Cy Creek, Feb. 26, and hosts Northbrook, March 1.

In baseball, the Rams open district play at Jersey Village, Feb. 26, and host Jersey Village in district play, March 5.

Cy Woods

Cy Woods closed the season at 10-19 overall and 7-9 in district under head coach Chris Draudt.

The Lady Wildcats closed the season at 11-20 overall and 5-11 in district under head coach LaQueisha Dickerson.

In soccer in district play, the boys team tied visiting Tomball Memorial 1-1, Feb. 19, and lost to host Langham Creek 3-0, Feb. 22. The girls team beat host Tomball Memorial 1-0, Feb. 19, and beat visiting Langham Creek 9-2, Feb. 22.

In softball, the Lady Wildcats beat host Langham Creek 7-5 in district play, Feb. 19, host Bridgeland, Feb. 26, and visit Cy Lakes, March 1.

In baseball, the Wildcats open district play at Tomball Memorial, Feb. 26, and hosts Tomball Memorial in district play, March 5.

Bridgeland

Bridgeland closed the season at 11-21 overall and 2-14 in district under head coach Mitchell Doty.

The Lady Bears closed the regular season at 13-20 overall and 7-9 in district in their first year at the varsity level under head coach Krystal Powell.

In soccer in district play, the boys team lost to host Cy Springs 4-3, Feb. 19, and lost to visiting Cy Ranch 4-1, Feb. 22.

The girls team beat visiting Cy Spring 5-0, Feb. 29, and lost to host Cy Ranch 3-1, Feb. 22.

In softball, the Lady Bears beat lost visiting Cy Ranch 3-1 in district, Feb. 19, visit Cy Woods, Feb. 26, and host Bryan, March 1.

In baseball, the Bears open district play at home vs. Cy Springs, Feb. 26, and visit Cy Springs in district play, March 5.

Cy Park

Cy Park closed the season at 11-2 overall and 4-12 in district in their first year at the varsity level under head coach Alex Denson.

The Lady Tigers closed the season at 2-26 overall and 2-14 in district under head coach Ashlaa Zuniga.

In soccer in district play, the boys team lost to host visiting Cy Lakes 6-0, Feb. 19, and entered a bye, Feb. 22. The girls team beat host Cy Lakes 2-1, Feb. 19, and entered a bye, Feb. 22.

In softball, the Lady Tigers entered a bye, Feb. 19, visit Cy Springs, Feb. 26, and host Cy Ranch, March 1.

In baseball, the Tigers open district play at Cy Lakes, Feb. 26, and visit Cy Lakes in district play, March 5.

Houston Christian

Houston Christian (30-8, 6-0) beat Oakridge 81-54, Feb. 15, in the championship semifinal, and beat Episcopal 69-64, Feb. 16, to win the 2019 SPC Championship for the second year in a row under head coach Ron Crandall.

The Lady Mustangs (18-10, 5-1) beat St. Johns 39-24 in the third place game, Feb. 16, to end the season under head coach Fernando Villasana.

The baseball team beat Baytown Lee 13-5, Feb. 22, and beat Sam Houston 12-0, Feb. 22. The team opens district play, March 22, at home vs. Episcopal.

The softball team opens district play, March 22, at home vs. Episcopal.

The boys tennis team won the Episcopal invitational, Feb. 22.

In soccer, the boys team lost to Cistercian 4-1, Feb. 15, in the consolation semifinal to end the season under head coach Calvin Venus.

The girls team lost to St. Stephen’s 1-0, Feb. 16, in the fifth place game to end the season under head coach Wierzba.

Cypress Christian

The baseball team visits Frassati Catholic in district play, March 5, and hosts Frassati Catholic, March 6.

The softball team hosts Frassati Catholic, Feb. 26, visits Legacy Prep Magnolia, Feb. 28, and hosts Second Baptist, March 5.

In soccer, Cypress Christian (D7-5) lost 4-1 against Brownsville St. Joseph (D6-2) in the TAPPS Division II opening round of the playoffs.

The girls team (D7-2) beat Corpus Christi John Paul II (D6-3) 4-0 in the opening round, beat Houston Emery Weiner (D7-3) 2-0 in the area round and lost to San Antonio Christian in the regional round.

Texas Christian

Texas Christian lost to Redemption Life Tabernacle Church Prep 51-33 in TCAL 6A play, Feb. 23.
