Rochester police executing an apprehension order early Saturday arrested a 27-year-old man for drug possession.

The arrest occurred on the sidewalk in the 200 block of First Avenue Southwest, according to the police report. An officer saw Gasim Dimbiti standing on the sidewalk, knew about the apprehension order, and searched him while making an arrest. In Dimbiti’s pants pocket, the officer found a substance testing positive for cocaine, according to the police report.

Dimbiti is expected to be charged with fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance.
