Karen L. Linskens
Karen L. Linskens, 75, of Watertown, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown with Father Miroslaw Szynal officiating. Relatives and friends may gather at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family. Karen Lynn Ruland was born on Sept. 16, 1943, in Greendale, to Raymond and Esther (nee Gevaart) Ruland. On Nov. 28, 1959, she married Robert Linskens in Greendale.
Karen was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She always put her family first and was loving, caring and an excellent listener. She enjoyed crocheting and crocheted blankets for her children and grandchildren. Besides helping on the farm, she raised and sold asparagus from her patch. She loved visiting with her asparagus customers. She worked for several years at BP in Ixonia. She loved gardening, cooking, canning, bird watching, the Packers and taking vacations.
Karen is survived by her loving husband Robert Linskens of Watertown; five children: Robert T. Linskens of Beaver Dam, Christine (Paul) Glavin of Necedah, Linda (Peter) Caine of Watertown, James (Lynn) Linskens of Watertown and Timothy (Brenda) Linskens of Watertown; grandchildren: Jared (Jamie) Linskens, Benjamin (Malissa Lapine) Linskens, Erin (Avery) Pustina, Joshua (Genelle) Caine, Jacob Linskens, Jeremy Linskens, Joseph Linskens, Gabriel (Robby Gratz) Linskens, Kaitlyn Linskens, Sydney Linskens; great-granddaughter, Jaxynn Linskens; a brother, Russel (Judith) Ruland of Hales Corners; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and special friends, Pat Geoghegan and Barb Koehler.
