Three Killed in Pa. Plane Crash
RIXFORD, Pa. (AP) _ A small plane crashed in the woods in northern Pennsylvania, killing all three occupants, state police said.
The single-engine plane took off from Bradford soon after 11 a.m. Sunday near the Pennsylvania-New York state line, about 70 miles southeast of Erie. It crashed a few minutes later several miles from the airport.
None of the victims was identified, trooper David Smith said. Investigators said they had not yet learned where the plane was going.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation. Smith said investigators did not know whether bad weather throughout the day was a factor.
``It was off-and-on raining,″ he said.
