Las Vegas City Council to consider new municipal courthouse
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas could be getting a new municipal courthouse.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that the City Council on Wednesday will consider a nonbinding agreement with a real estate development company for a new courthouse that would be located downtown.
Funding would come from general obligation funds and money from Clark County buying out the city’s lease at the Regional Justice Center where municipal courts are now located.
County officials have said the county needs more space in the Regional Justice Center.
