LUNCHBOX AUCTION

CINCINNATI -- It’s a baby boomer’s delight. A veteran auctioneer has on display hundreds of vintage lunchboxes featuring the heroes of their childhood’s comic books, TV shows, cartoon strips, movies and more. J. Louis Karp’s family business in Cincinnati dates to 1870, and he says he’s never seen such a collection. — DISCARDED SEX DOLL: Police in southwestern Ohio say a body reported near a park turned out to be a sex doll. Authorities say Hamilton County engineers called Colerain police Thursday afternoon when they spotted a “body” near Richardson Forest Preserve.

— REMAINS FOUND-CLEVELAND: Authorities say an Ohio man who called police to confess to the slaying of a prostitute 20 years ago and then led investigators to the shallow grave where he said he buried her body has been charged with aggravated murder.

— ELDER ABUSE-OHIO: Ohio is expanding the list of people required to report suspicions of elder abuse, neglect or exploitation to authorities.

— ELECTION 2018-HOUSE-OHIO 1: Three televised debates are planned in a hotly contested Ohio congressional race. Republican Rep. Steve Chabot and Democratic challenger Aftab Pureval will clash three times in October ahead of the Nov. 6 election
