PetSmart donates $2,500 to WAHS
PetSmart representatives celebrated 10 years of partnership with the Western Arizona Humane Society on Friday with the donation of a $2,500 grant toward Humane Society programs.
Through PetSmart’s collaboration with the Humane Society, shelter animals are adopted to new families at Lake Havasu City’s PetSmart location. Since 2008, the chain has adopted 2,700 pets in Havasu, and has saved 6,800 pets at its branches in Bullhead City, Havasu and Kingman, collectively, according to store manager Lynnae Kross.
According to Humane Society Executive Director Patty Gillmore, the grant will be used for the Humane Society’s “Seniors for Seniors” and “Pets for Vets” programs.
