Baby dies after being found unresponsive in car in Medina

MEDINA, Ohio – A baby girl died Saturday after she was found unresponsive in a car at a Medina park, officials say.

Few details about the incident were available Sunday morning.

The 6-month-old was found about 2:15 p.m. Saturday in a car in Ray Mellert Park, Medina police Lt. Dave Birckbichler said in a news release.

The girl was taken to Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital, where she was unable to be revived, police said.

Medina police and the Medina County Coroner are working together in the investigation.

Police say they will release more details once they are known. This post will be updated if that information becomes available Sunday afternoon.
