Johnson Creek library plans upcoming activities

JOHNSON CREEK -- The Johnson Creek Public Library has announced its upcoming programs:

-- Tech Tuesdays will be held Tuesday and Tuesday, Jan. 22, from 2-3 p.m. Attendees will get a one-on-one session to answer their specific technology questions. To register, call the library at 920-699-3741.

-- Family Storytime will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, Jan. 15-May 9, from 10:30-11 a.m. This traditional storytime will include stories, songs, rhymes and activities that will help prepare children for reading success. It is recommended for walkers and talkers ages 5 and under.

-- Playgroup will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, Jan. 15-May 9, from 11 a.m.-noon. Toys, puzzles and crafts will be available during this unstructured time for children to explore and socialize. Parents/guardians must stay to supervise and are encouraged to play with their child. Playgroup is for ages 5 and under.

-- Brilliant Babies will be held Wednesdays, Jan. 16-May 8, from 10:30-11 a.m. This gentle early literacy storytime encourages parents to sing, talk, read and play with their newborns and early walkers. Older siblings are welcome.

The following are recurring programs in 2019:

-- Lego Club will be held the second Monday of the month from 3:30-4:30 p.m. for ages 6-12.

-- Busy Fingers Crafting and Coloring Club will be held the second Wednesday of the month from 1-2:30 p.m. Participants may bring their knitting, needlework, crocheting or crafting to the library and socialize with other crafters, or just relax and color.

-- Book discussions will be held the third Thursday of the month from 3-4 p.m. The book list can be found on the library’s website, www.johnsoncreeklibrary.org. Everybody is welcome.
