Max Interactive Appoints Al Giazzon as Chief Executive Officer
COSTA MESA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct 3, 2018--Max Interactive, Inc., the leader in protective cases and accessories used in the education market, today announced that it has appointed Al Giazzon as Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2018. Cameron Moore, Max Interactive founder and president, will continue to serve as president and chairman of Max Interactive’s board of directors, and will continue to lead the team in new product development and product ideation.
“Al is going to take MAXCases to the next level,” said Moore. “His overall marketing and channel experience combined with his business acumen will position the company for accelerated growth. Al’s reputation in the industry is one of building scalable teams and processes that drive revenue and long-term brand value. We’re especially excited to leverage his digital marketing experience to reach new customers in engaging and highly effective ways. Al is exactly the kind of leader Max Interactive needs right now to drive the brand to new levels.”
Al Giazzon has spent more than 25 years in the technology field with leadership roles at Gateway, NEC Display, Targus, and most recently, ViewSonic Corp. As vice president of Marketing for ViewSonic, he architected the company’s successful launch into the education market, most recently achieving #1 market share in channel-sales of interactive digital whiteboards. Prior to ViewSonic, Giazzon spent eight years as vice president of Marketing for Targus. Giazzon has been named Channel Chief by CRN and holds a B.S. in Marketing and Human Resources from DePaul University.
“I’m very excited to join the team at Max Interactive, and to have the opportunity to drive the MAXCases brand,” said Giazzon. “MAXCases’ focus on delivering the very best EdTech solutions is why I feel so excited about joining the team. Having had the chance to consult with the team, I’ve seen first-hand the level of insight and relationships the company has built over the years with school districts from Florida to California. That personal touch, combined with a fanatical attention to detail, is the cornerstone of what MAXCases is all about. I intend to amplify that passion and the company’s mission of being the best value in high-quality protection solutions for mobile devices in and out of the classroom.”
Cameron Moore will remain actively involved in the company as chairman of the board. He will continue to focus his efforts on new product ideation and design, as well as provide his leadership in various education partnerships he has built over the last 20-plus years in the industry.
“We are thrilled to have Al as our CEO. His guidance has been invaluable to us over the last few years, and now with him as our CEO, the future looks even brighter,” said co-founder Grady Austin.
