Christmas Eve crash kills 3 near Louisa

LOUISA, Ky. - Three people were killed in a crash on Christmas Eve in Lawrence County, Kentucky, according to Kentucky State Police.

Edwina Wilson, 49, of Louisa, was slowing to make a left-hand turn on U.S. 23 when her car was hit from behind by Randall Boggs, of Grayson, Kentucky. He was driving a 1989 Peterbilt tractor-trailer.

Wilson was killed, as were two passengers - Brenda Charles, 66, also of Louisa, and a 12-year-old girl, according to a State Police report. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.

Alcohol is not a suspected contributor to the crash, which remains under investigation.
