A 46-year-old Rochester man was arrested Sunday night in connection with a stabbing at a Southeast Rochester residence.
Police were called at 7:43 p.m. to the 300 block of 10th Street Southeast where they met a 41-year-old woman who was covered in blood. She had been allegedly stabbed and assaulted by Shango Loren Gordon, 46, according to Capt. Casey Moilanan, of the Rochester Police Department.
The woman told officers she was in a bathroom at the residence when Gordon allegedly began kicking and punching her and then stabbed her. A knife was recovered at the scene, Moilanen said.
The victim was taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys with non-life threatening injuries.
Gordon was arrested at the scene and may face charges of terroristic threats, domestic assault and second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.
