August 28, 2018

Four local school districts are asking voters for levies and construction bonds Tuesday.

Idaho Falls School District 91 and Bonneville Joint School District 93 voters will decide on a high school construction bond and a supplemental levy, respectively.

District 91 voters are being asked whether to approve a bond with an $86.2 million base and a $13.3 million tier to build a new Idaho Falls High School, extensively remodel Skyline High School and start to convert the current Idaho Falls High School into a career-technical high school.

District 93 voters are being asked to renew the district’s $5.8 million a year supplemental levy for another two years. And Madison School District 321 is asking for a two-year renewal of its $1.995 million yearly supplemental levy.

Jefferson Joint School District 251 is asking voters to approve a $36 million bond to build a new elementary school, renovate Harwood and Midway elementary schools, build a new paved parking lot at Rigby High School and buy playground equipment at Robert Elementary School.

Polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today.
