I&M completes work along Spy Run Extended
A bicycle repair station, benches and landscaping have been installed along Spy Run Extended as part of the completion of the Powering Up Central transmission project, Indiana Michigan Power said today.
The project included rebuilding a transmission line along Spy Run Extended and the St. Joseph River, the utility said in a statement.
The repair station, located west of Parnell Avenue, includes tools and an air pump needed for basic repairs and maintenance for cyclists, the statement said. It said contractors also planted 10 Autumn Brilliance trees near the entrance to Johnny Appleseed Park and spread more than 88 pounds of pollinator seed to grow grass and flowers.
