RailRiders manager Bobby Mitchell said German was diagnosed with ulnar neuritis, which Mitchell said is inflammation of the ulnar nerve. German will not throw for 10 days, then will be day to day after that. “He’ll just be in here, probably doing some strength exercises and trying to get rid of the inflammation with the medication,” Mitchell said. “It’s hard to say, you lay off 10 days now, it’s hard to say if you can get back by the end of the season, but we hope so.” ■ The Yankees called up UT Tyler Wade after OF Aaron Judge went on the disabled list with a wrist fracture. The RailRiders also added outfielders Zack Zehner and Devyn Bolasky from Double-A Trenton, and got RHP Luis Cessa from New York. ■ Tonight is “The Sandlot” Night at PNC Field. David Mickey Evans, the Wilkes-Barre native who directed and co-wrote the classic baseball film, and actor Patrick Renna, who played Hamilton “Ham” Porter, will be on hand. The first 2,500 fans through the gates will receive a “Ham” Porter bobblehead. — CONOR FOLEY
